"I won’t haul that load"is the correct reply to the broker. Then put it into the wind and enjoy the ride home.

At 0645 I was rolling away from KAO by Petro with my delivery complete, but we were definitely close.

    ###### man, that sucks. At least you're physically able to take those pictures, so it could have been worse.

If driver B knows the load "cancelled", wouldn't you be able to contact shipper and find out who took it? If load was rebooted after a contract was agreed to, wouldn't that be breach of contract and entitle you to monetary compensation? Know we had 1 that I pursued and ended up getting paid the TNU, despite the fact I never got close to the load for that very reason.

Night all. The heat wave is gone. The humidity is gone for a while. New tractor seat cushions arrived. Guess I need to start wrenching again

Yep, but,I know what happened, he told me he had 3 loads, 2 brown rice one soybean meal, catch was, 1st one unload this morning at 0530, I got empty about 8, DH 210 mile, reloaded at noon, made it here for the 1900 appointment with 30 minutes to spare, they’re going to unload a mile truck and a soybean meal ahead because they need their products, the other load is 35 miles from here, I was going to load in morning and it’s only 7 or 7.5 hours, I’d have made that tomorrow.
Only way other guy would know, would be to have it, so, he’s still in AR, supposed to unload, about 10 miles from where I picked up and they had 4 loads coming here to Frontenac, so to “share the wealth” we do that, though we had an agreement and I covered the other two in one day.
Only 558 miles with an unload, reload and unload involved.
I’ll look tomorrow on the board and I may quit using him as a broker.
So far this year he’s made...$8,130.79 off me from brokerage.
Let’s see how his new guy does, not bad for a few phone calls.
That’s at 10% of gross loads from him, not counting these weeks loads from him, got 3

We completed another miracle of modern trucking today.

Made it to The Petro with 10 minutes left.

The OM and I both agree this was Divine Intervention.

The OM saw Tidbit's rollover and has gone into growl.
