Unfortunately Pennsylvania is notorious for doing this,even in the truck parking areas.
Got a Level 2 back in 2015 while I was doing my pretrip at the Pilot Flying J in Carlisle. I passed but it wasn’t exactly how I envisioned my 10 a.m. that day(at that time I was working for Western Express). About 20 minutes later same DOT officer had a hotshot pulled over on the shoulder right outside of said Pilot Flying J.lolAnother Canadian driver, JoeyJunk and bzinger Thank this. -

Doesn't matter. That's just going to cause you more problems.

The text of the updated guidance dictates that “inspectors shall not disturb/interrupt any driver of acommercial motor vehicle in off-duty or sleeper berth status when legally parked for the purpose of conducting a random inspection.”Nov 13, 2018

Yes they use to call the one who worked that area heavy "lurch". because he was a giant. He pulled me over on the shoulder to inspect me on I-81 around the 45mm. He hit my buddy at that same Flying J.Another Canadian driver, JoeyJunk and mjd4277 Thank this.
