What if it Snows?

I deliver at 0200 in Commerce City, CO. Have 2 hours until I roll so that my recapping catches up to me at midnight to keep me moving lol.

 

With the change in winds, life has improved on the west side of this catastrophe...not looking good for Tahoe, and on one news cast, a firefighter is heard in the background...."we will be going to NV soon"...approaching 200k acres as of the morning report.
The Caldor firenow has 2 true directional heads, the first is in Myers approaching South Lake Tahoe,the second is the southeast front threatening Kirkwood, which also has the potential of connecting with the Tamarack fire from last month that is now 80% contained but still burning east of Topaz Lake in NV. The below pic is our view from the back deck (again) but the cloud system visible would be the Kirkwood head of the fire. Second pic is the same view, 3 days ago

 

Honestly, I miss X1. He was a good guy. I hope he's ok.

I never understood why the people who complained about him didn't just mute him. I've muted a handful and never looked back. That feature is one of the best things about TTR.

 

Mainly because he gave out so much BAD information if everyone muted him we'd have a dumber group of new people than we already do. X1 is/was the dumb drunk uncle who served in NAM and KOREA, refused his MOH 3x, and left his combat role to join the JAG Corps based on experience despite no college education.

X1 was a bit long winded, but was/is a a pretty good guy.
You need to understand that there are people here who have a good bit of experience and it's not a bad idea to at least listen.....you might learn something.

I've seen his stuff on older postings, I've seen more accuracy on Pawn Stars and Ancient Aliens.

You mean would I call out somebody who spins tall tales beyond reasonable belief, when the actual facts are well documented? Yes. Maybe you're the type who is fine with misinformation, but I prefer facts and reality to feelings.

 

Problem with x1 is, he didn't have anywhere NEAR the experience he often claimed.

People here would say, "he liked to tell tall tales, so what......he admitted to telling them"...... Except that by his own admission, the "tall tales" were "marked /lunch counter".

None of them are.

His timeline doesn't add up, it's all there in the archive for anyone who wants to chase it down. And yes, I DID have a serious problem with the guy. I don't like ############, especially when they insult my intelligence by lying about things I already know the truth about.

He claimed, in a very early post, to have spent a month in Marine Corps boot camp, and was sent home after a month because he wasn't "catching on".......for which he was "honorably discharged".

Which for someone who is deaf enough to have gone to the "state school", is complete ########. He never woulda got past the MEPS. Anyone who ever served a day in any branch could see through that one.

I'm done discussing him. This is the last time I'll ever bring up his name on the whole of TTR.

Frankly, there are people on this forum who actually DO have the experience he claimed, many times over. I DO listen to them when they speak here, and I value the wisdom they choose to share.

BTW, the Frequent Poster is still alive and well, posting on some deaf forum, is what I recently read from someone on TTR.

Agree or disagree, I don't care which.

But the members of WIIS have my respect, for whatever it's worth to you.
