News flash. If you have a pain issue and medical marahoochie is your only option for pain I get it. But you are not going to pass the drug test to be a commercial driver. Period

Me personally. I stock up on groceries and water when I leave the house. I may very well decide to splurge on some beers and a fine meal 10 days in, but I've also gone 15 days and not spend a dime.

Winter time coming so my outside showers will be no longer, so I guess I'll be paying for truckstop showers soon.

Keep your ### in the seat and out of the truckstop and you won't spend too much, and make more.

Yep, there only shop in town.
Nearest shop besides them is an hour away, and usually don’t get right on it.
    I know they’re gouging hours.
That fifth wheel was put on old Pete, it had a ton of slack so I wanted a new one, they had to get the highest one, release from cab type, that was available.
I just wanted a basic one.

I understand dude, but coming from another shop owner, they are absolutely hammering you. I hate that for ya.

I owned 24/7 Truck Service in Van Buren. Stress finally got to me. Too many customers (great customers BTW), too much work, and absolutely no free time. Good help is hard to find, so all of the guys were working 70+ hours a week, and me 80+.

I hated it for my customers, but 17 years of 80+ hours is too much.

Hope you find a better alternative.

How much of that $300 is scale costs? $150? $200?

I don’t know how much room there is in a truck yet for appliances. I can do a lot with a mini fridge, toaster oven, and microwave. Do company owned vehicles sometimes have a fridge or anything already?

I love my coffee. Will the truck have an inverter capable of running a coffee maker? I like to grind the beans and brew it myself.

Because I was quite adventurous when younger and have old injuries, because it can put a person who has trouble sleeping out very quickly, because it is super relaxing for a lot less than a massage, because I like it! But, I haven’t smoked in nearly 3 years now…it is not a problem, just a minor, avoidable temptation.

The trucking company pays scale costs; not the driver.

Some Prime drivers have the passenger seat removed, so there's room for a refrigerator.

Don't go with a company that doesn't have an apu (or at least doesn't care if you idle) and otr an inverter is a must. I would deff take the passenger seat out for fridge with a small freezer. After even just 2 weeks on truck stop junk I'd feel like death
