Still gotta worry about the lost revenue and the non stop insurance payment.

Judging from some of the posts in this site , Parts are impossible to find right now.
You could be down for three to Six weeks waiting on a $300 water pump or some computer sensor from communist China

    AramatAz and Jarhed1964 Thank this.

Why do I want to put money in a repair fund?
It’s in my business account and if there’s a breakdown the money comes out of it.
Payments aren’t weekly, but 1120/month truck 717/month for trailer.
Insurance monthly could even come out if that week,$1385/month for 10 months, other 2 are nonpayment, or $346.35/week, truck trailer, liability cargo bobtail.

    Jarhed1964 Thanks this.

So what’s your monthly fixed costs ?

I always used to set aside 10% of the net after fuel for maintaince and 10% for tractor replacement . And 10% for income tax .

that way the money is there when you need it and already budgeted for that projected expense

every business has a budget , the amount of money they expect to have to spend in the coming fiscal year for lots of different category’s .
