Was running a load from Alabama to Oklahoma last week and after you cross out of Arkansas and get into the I40 construction areas in Oklahoma I hit a huge raised edge of pavement that goes straight across the interstate so hard it bent my passenger side lower shock bolt and snapped the bushing that goes through the lower mount just above the spring and completely broke the drivers side lower shock bolt. It was 60 mph speed limit and I was doing less that posted speed. It was one of those Holy Fing Shizzle feelings I’ve only had a few times driving. Which were I-22 going into Memphis and 287 south in southeastern Colorado. These are grade 8 bolts.
So off to Peterbilt yesterday to acquire each side new. Crawled around underneath and see no other damage. The truck rides exactly the same so those crappy Gabriel shocks which are fairly new don’t do squat.
Was hoping I could pop the bushing out and just replace them but will go ahead and swap the new pieces in.
Watch out for them Oklahoma roads lol

I don't have an issue in Oklahoma ever..
But Colorado?! Everytime I cross into Colorado it's like I'm suddenly riding a bucking bronco. What the heck do they spend all the tax revenue from the legalized pot on?! Lolbzinger, staceydude, BennysPennys and 1 other person Thank this. -
Contact their Law Department. They should pay for that and back charge the general contractor if it's not the state themselves doing the road work. They're supposed to build up those "steps" with asphalt or something. I hit a pothole once in Baltimore and it shattered my front wheel. I sent them an estimate and they paid it.

There is a bridge in Georgia on 95 around the 60 mile mark that will throw you into your seat belt, spill your drink and throw #### out of your overhead. Thankfully it hasn't broken my truck yet.
