I spoke with a few recruiters last week, one of which was Wilson.
On the plus side, they will fund the CDL training 100% for a one-year commitment to work for them.
On the negative side, they don't pay you during training, including the 3 weeks of OTR training (amusingly, the recruiter tells you that they will "provide" you with $200/wk to cover the basics...if you then read the fine print those $200/wk are actually an advance on your future paychecks ).

In any case, I might be interested. Can any recent graduates of Wilson weigh in on their training program, specifically the Missoula training facility?
    Thanks.

April 2019 I started with Wilson in Missoula. I would highly recommend them, you can do a lot worse. While it is true they do advance you $200 per week, back then this was while you had your permit and my recommendation if you can is to NOT take it. You do not want to start in the hole. This part was typically 3-weeks.

I would be surprised if they are not paying you after coming back and passing your CDL testing. That was $600 per week then $700 per week related to miles completed (all miles) during the real training which was about 6-weeks I would double check this, thus the 1-year requirement. The key with any company is getting a good trainer. If you are not getting what you need, ask for a different one. This is business and you can't be worried about hurting the feelings of someone you'll most likely never see again anyway.

Check out Truckingtruth (.com) there is a lot of good information on there with a lot of first hand blog type posting about various companies.

They have good equipment. You get out of it what you put into it. Be willing to learn, swallow your pride, do what your instructor tells you and keep telling yourself you can do anything for 6-weeks. Good luck

Thanks, noworrez, for the information. I appreciate it. I totally agree with you about not taking an advance; I would never consider it unless I were penniless. The post-CDL test pay has gone up to $900/wk, thankfully.
I will continue to look at Wilson, based on your positive recommendation.
