Getting Towed 2014 Volvo 670 I shift with 53’ dryvan attached need info

Get a lawyer, stop second guessing, stop thinking about any resolutions you can prompt because without legal advice and action, you are going to end up paying for it.

I’ve gone through this with a couple trucks, in each case my lawyer had to threaten the tow company and their insurance company with litigation after they claimed they had no liability involved after they destroyed the transmission.

 

My 2015 Volvo drive shaft always gets dropped. I can’t say what I wanna say about the Miami community, but that whole town is grimy. It’s the reason I prefer ft lauderdale.

I’m a company driver with a large fleet behind me, but next time I’d recommend calling Volvo or whoever the OEM of your truck is and asking who they partner with for towing in the area and use them. A freight liner, Volvo, or Pete dealer isn’t going to use the Rico suave living in his moms basement.

I found an engine. It turns out changing from a DDEC2 to 3 or 4 will cost a lot in rewiring. So the engine I've got is a 450 our of a 93 Kenworth. I think you had recommended the place in Idaho. They pull the pan and inspect the engine. If it needs bearings they'll roll them for the same price. If the liners are no good, they won't sell the engine. The shop where it is will put in an engine. Expensive but if I have it towed elsewhere, that will make up the difference.

I think some freightliners already have a warning sticker on the door jam. But I'm curious if it would be worth making something like this into a sticker that you could place next to the VIN tag and then you can show the tow truck driver and there should be no argument.
