I'm by no means an expert, just a rookie at snow driving in a rig too. But I've learned to take it slow. During a bad storm in UT I was doing 35 on the freeway. The plows hadn't come through yet, it was snowing hard and I had no place to pull off without getting stuck. Every time I wanted to go faster I'd pass someone who spun out. A flatbed almost took off my hood passing me, 15 minutes later I passed him since he was stuck in the middle of the road.
Just go as fast as is safely possible and not a single mph more. It's better to be late than not make it at all.

    Savor the Flavor Thanks this.

This is some of the best advice you’ll ever get regardless of conditions. Speed and distance are your best friends in almost every situation.

Also, learn to to trust that little voice in your head that says park and live to drive another day.
