You're fortunate with equipment. I would say, the majority of drivers I talk to have as bad or worse experience with equipment problems than I have had. I am in my 5th or 6th truck in 2021, and I have some other issues than the bunk heater and the leaks around the injectors, but it's not a DOT OOS issue so I try to put up with them...

Also included in my micromanaging nanny list is all the driver annoyance devices they install on these trucks. In high traffic times, the inside of these trucks sound like a video arcade during school's summer break with all the 'safety' devices...all because they don't trust us to do our job. All because of a few that need such b.s. we all have to drive trucks with all this collision avoidance ######## on them.

That's is one of the two advantages Wylie had over us. The majority of their trucks had no nanny sensors and had APU's.

 

And your terminal hasn't been bugging you to move out of it and go pick up a replacement truck that is sitting at some other shop, that was supposedly fixed right this time?
