    Yes, I believe if they’d have charged the extra $1.50, it’d have thrown the mechanic into a higher tax bracket.

    From my experience the most expensive is proprietary parts.

    the ones you can’t get on a Saturday or a Sunday.

    Example: A simple $7 air fitting put me out of service for 3 days. Only at a dealership can you get them.

    Obviously rebuilds. I spent 20k on a full rebuild two years ago ish. Tires, rear ends, trans. I’d say the average repair bill is 2k with normal faulty issues
