And furthermore. If your first solution is to throw money at a problem……you really don’t have any business sense. And it appears you don’t want to listen to any advice here. You just want answers and you will go do as you please.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say your screen name is your birth year? If so, this explains so much. Again. Save your money and get REAL experience BEFORE you try to do this.

So you have insurance lined up?
    What cost?
Will they allow you to add multiple trucks right away?

I would call that a large hole.

    You don't know your liability?

The biggest hole is you don't know crap about this business. You will not get anybody working for you, because you are nobody and don't know crap about how things work.
Why would people go work with your dispatching company, when there are thousands others with experience and proven record?

Vampire, Dino soar, TheLoadOut and 3 others Thank this.

IF Your Father Has Been An Owner Operator For ___ Years, WHY Do You Have So Many QUESTIONS??o_O:confused:

I've Met A Plethora Of Owner Operators O.T.R. & Local Since 1999 And While Some Were Successful, Some Were Barely Surviving & Then Folded.
I Had ZERO Interest In Such O. O. Avenue & Only Drove FOR Owner Operators' Large & Small Companies.

I Know That "Throwing Money At Problems" Usually Depletes The Money Before The Problem Therein Creating Larger Problem(s).

Reminds Me Of The Saying: "I Want What I Want When I Want It"!

    Happy Trails!!

Be like paying the O/O 93-95%
Or would you charge them because you don't have the means to pay.

    Exactly what he said.

You have a lot of research and preparation to do before even considering this.

You are really proving your lack of knowledge. Out of all these posts you went for the big money one.

I would say run your Dad for a year and maybe you can use his money to help build the business. No way you are gonna make this work without a bunch more money. How are you gonna be able to afford your part on insurance if only have 20K and will need to pay everything?
