that’s pretty neat, didn’t know it was a thing. Btw whenever I call the Crete number I just hit 0 and there’s a nice lady that literally just transfers people. Found departments I didn’t know we had through her.

Not sure how much of my Amazon shipping costs go towards insurance on their trailers, but I am a dissatisfied investor. Amazon Prime at their best (sorry for the water drops...it wasn't raining hard enough to use low, and the fastest intermittent left drops)

Oh, there it is. The state trooper caught Amazon trying to steal some guardrail with his trailer

The front trailer axle was pointing in a slightly different direction than the rear trailer axle.

My kids loved it...it made them popular in school. When they needed something, they could use the payphone in the lobby to call home. Their friends thought we were rich because we had our own toll free number.

I understand the appreciation for things being on time but you don't really have any control over damaged product. Besides putting load bars in most of the damage I've seen happens when forklift drivers smoosh the pallets together or against the wall ripping the product ( could even be the reciever doing it to when unloading)

Yeah, but they were pleased that everything was where it was supposed to be and not laying over or leaning. One thing I pride myself on is I arrive with 0 driver chargable freight claims. Hauled raw glass at WyMoore almost 3 years all over the US and eastern Canada and had 0 driver caused breakages. I recently delivered a load to Conagra in Troy, OH and the lady was tickled that the load was upright and damage free. She said that plant I picked up at in MO doesn't use adequate shrink wrap and they're having a hard time getting loads from them without a load shift issue. As a thanks from them I got a two handed bundle of Slim Jims of all sizes and flavors.

I pick up Coca Cola out of Milwaukee from time to time. They don’t use enough shrink wrap on the pallets even with an airbag in place and two load bars. 5 pallets shifted on me in transit. I think about the load every time I pick up out of there.

When I was with Silver Eagle we use to pick up bottled tea out of the Coke plant in Marietta, GA. They couldn't figure out why drivers kept having shifted loads until they realized that they were loading the tea too soon after brewing and bottling, and the warm tea was softening the plastic bottles just enough that they would fall over just from the smallest bump. They stored the pallets long enough to cool, then they would load them.

They couldn't afford it. Right after Mr. Acklie passed the rumor floated around that Werner was buying the company, but yet, we are still here.
