I wonder why they don’t have someone at all hours at every terminal checking in trailers and doing a quick walk around. We would have a lot less PM messages for trailers if every t-called trailer was checked in. However it seems they have one guy during the day at Leonor City doing this, sometimes.
navypoppop Thanks this. -
Trailer shop also separate from maintenance garage. They would go around and check all the trailers looking for issues. They would also check tires and report to tire shop. I appreciated their system big time.Itsbrokeagain, Lonesome, navypoppop and 3 others Thank this. -

Ozark had the best maintenance and shop personnel I ever experienced. It didn’t matter what terminal either. Never got bad attitude. They always fixed EVERYTHING. Someone always answered the phone. After hours road service was good too. Old guy that talked slow, but he was there and answered.
They did a PM on my APU and changed something because “those tend to go bad at this age”. It was still running fine, but they wanted to be proactive. That blew my mind.Itsbrokeagain, Ralph4159, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this. -

Received a message from Risk overnight(I was asleep, but saw it when I got up). They waited until almost midnight my time to message me about some damage on a trailer I dropped on March 31st. Not sure why they waited 10 days, and to message me on a Sunday night at almost midnight. Appearantly someone new noticed that the outside corners of the doors were bent (like 90% of our older trailers are) from drivers(or maybe yard drivers) backing off center into the docks and hitting the dock cushion protectors. I told her that most of our trailers have some sort of damage, but most of the time it isn't hurting the inner seal of the door, so you can't feel any cold coming out. I even mentioned that I am also seeing more and more of the very rear of the side rails getting bent from drivers having issues with these automated transmissions not creeping slow enough when backing in, or surging when you are close to the dock, so instead of a subtle bump, it slams you against the dock. Moore had the same issue with their double drop trailers and the mDrive(which had no creep mode activated). They better not try to take my safety/productivity bonus because I stopped wasting my time reporting every scratch and dent unless it's something serious(because they don't do anything about it) or else this may very well be my last week here, and someone in Deland will need a 55 gal of lube, because I will shove this truck so far up their ###, their 'grill' (as in their front teeth) will literally be a grill with a Freightliner emblem. Hell of a way to get my BP up this early in the week.
That's all for this rant...back to our regularly scheduled posting.Last edited: Apr 11, 2022

What happened to you is what I fear. Good luck that they don’t push this on you due to some idiot that can’t back.Itsbrokeagain, Lonesome, Ralph4159 and 1 other person Thank this. -
When I pick up used machines or I’m required to tarp a load I also take photos/videos just so I have proof, then as you do delete them after the bills are signed.Itsbrokeagain, Lonesome and nredfor88 Thank this.
