Finally got a load. They sent it to me after 17:00, it was ready to pickup at 13:30. Kinda had to postpone my hometime a few days. Going back across I-64 between I-81 and St. Louis again. Before the last month, I hardly ever went between I-81 and I-77 on 64, this will be my 4th trip.

    Bumper and Lonesome Thank this.

I would have to stay south of the border...I have never gotten or will ever get the Fauci flu poke. And it is a current requirement to cross the border. I haven't seen that part of Canada.

Maybe they would run you within the lower 48, might be worth the call. Guys willing to travel like you are becoming very scarce, you never know what these companies are willing to negotiate to get in a good driver.

dwells40, Bumper and Lonesome Thank this.

Join Bumper @ Cardinal I saw some decent paying dedicated routes that get you home & pay (out of St.Aug. I saw a claim for 93k, not sure how they operate)... how do
there's some non pods dedicated accounts claiming 93k out of St.Aug (95)...
you'll need a Death Jab certificate to cross the Northern Boarder got a guy at averritt express, (former Shaffer driver!) that's on a congesta account & turned down another dedicated run involving crossing he sadly actually has the JJ death jab but said that's a requirement & declined cause he didn't want to face getting stuck at the borders if something goes down resulting in major delays & fighting for layover or some sort of pay - he likes to stay moving - he's very happy over there tries to get me on board & is home basically 3 days a week on a Florida dedicate congesta run (FL, in, AL, LA, GA, MI)

Offloaded the beer without issue. Only truck stop in the whole area is the Loves in Tacoma. Very small and very tight lot located right next to a rail yard. Got a spot on the overflow lot and a helpful driver got out and spotter me in due to how tight and close the spots are.

My only concern will be getting out of here without swiping someone's mirror.

Next load picks up just 7 miles away and it's a heavy one. Will be heading the same way back down i84 so here's hoping it stays open tomorrow.

I90 had some white out conditions late last night when I was heading into Seattle where so much snow was falling that it looked like I was going into hyperspace like in star wars. Couldn't see the road at all due to how reflective the falling snow was and had to rely on good old GPS to let me know when a turn in the road was coming up.

On another note I also got a msg that I'll be receiving $1200 on payday for the safety performance bonus. Since coming to the Shaffer side this will be the first time I've gotten it.

Dna Mach, Lonesome, 48Packard and 4 others Thank this.

I can't take commercial vehicle into Canada anymore...years ago when driving for Averitt...was stopped at border...and denied entry by RCMP...because I'm a twice convicted felon ,..on the terrorist watch list ...and have duel citizenship both USA and Austria ..but I got full government clearance to work in Iraq ..as contract convoy driver the same year....and went on vacation with wife at Prince Edward Island, Canada...while working in Iraq...I can enter Canada anytime....but just not in a commercial vehice...Canucks are a strange bunch

There's a post somewhere in the tanker sub-forum of a yanker who had his worst run in with the Canada border patrol.

Pretty much entered Canada multiple times without issue but on his last Canada run went into a new port and they rang him out.

Put him into a interaction booth with the glass window and put all his personal devices( cell phone, tablet, laptop) and TOLD him to unlock all devices so they can go through them.

He decided to let them go through everything but swore to never go back to Canada after what they did.

You are braver than I am. I would have gone straight to Sumner TS and paid to park without even checking that Loves.
