Been a long time since I last watched one of our company videos. Glad to hear Shaffer side does not have much freight up in the NY area. Have yet to pick up this year's HUT sticker and might not ever have too :p

I can't remember the last time I went past Deland on the east coast...but I do a lot from Auburndale to Tampa, so Lakeland would be a good spot to put a place since there isn't many places to park. Where did they announce this?

Birthday cake load I was on is awaiting new appt time, I'm at a terminal and after getting a little impatient ask am if it's OK to head in that direction and if new appt is too far our to tcall at deland, get green light...new appt comes in after ams shift is done its 2 weeks out weekend beauties get a hold of Me and stress it needs to be tcalled at the Jax terminal...I explain I agreed with am to go to deland, which is also closer to the receiver anyway...get officially tcalled at Jax to wake up to upset AM telling I was supposed to tcall at deland...ended up doing that and getting short haul pay but why isn't it a requirement for weekend/ night, who are paid, to go back into the notes or prior threads on a certain trip to be on the same page...that Blunder had me sitting and #####in at deland now stuck on a banana run with an appt that was impossible so get to wait for another appt time adjustment... seems things are getting more and more funky here and it's effecting miles cause detention isn't enough... why can't communication amongst all the knuckleheads be synced somehow or are they overwhelmed with the driver load board or amount of drivers they have to cater to and understaffed, even though their a profitable company? In that new q/a video seems there's not going to be anymore raises and we may be forced to eventually run a wmt help out once in a while...

There was an ex Shaffer driver who did a video of that happening.

Was set to go home when terminal asked if he could do them a favor and rush a Target run from his terminal to the Target DC that was due in a an hour.

Guy does it and when he arrives the load had an invalid delivery number and it was now night weekend shifts time and they told him to park and they will get it fixed by the morning.

Long story short they didn't do anything and he ended up sitting from Friday night to Monday morning for his DM to come in. His DM was surprised he was still on the load and saw no mention in the system from weekend so customer service hadn't even been notified to even start getting the load fixed.

That’s on the driver at some point to just go home. Take the load back to the yard and leave. They are on their own at that point
