The one I thought should have been Prime Minister was Ralphie Klein.

    I really miss Mr. Klein.
I still remember his oil royalty bonus awarded to all Albertans.
About 400 CAD, if I remember correctly per person, in 2004 or 2005.
I was so proud to be an Albertan back then.
    Not so much these days.

When Ralph was elected Premier and shut all those hospitals and cut services he straight out said he didn’t expect to be re-elected but that needed to be done. He was the devil everywhere over it, until Alberta turned up the only Province with a surplus budget. The lefties in the east went all Klein Leicht pretty quick one way or other after that.

Truck drivers need to go work for these companies for a few months and then hire a nasty pitbull of an attorney and sue the living crap out of these companies. It’ll stop real quick.
It’s disgusting in my opinion because people up in their lives, change their lives, move things around, to accommodate taking a new job and then it turns out to be a big lie. It isn’t just the income that you don’t receive it’s the fact that you adjust your entire life to do this job and then it’s fake. Just my opinion.

Truckers aren’t the sue happy type, in the four years I’ve been out here I probably could’ve sued the companies I’ve worked for half a dozen times but I wouldn’t do it. Not unless they just outright ripped me off. that said, it does need to change.

I saw an add the other day and ran their numbers. Yes it is possible, if you worked 52 weeks, never had a breakdown, never got stuck at a shipper or receiver and only took your 34 off each week.

It will change. Watch later this year. 10% inflation. Interest rates now at 3% going to 8% or more.

When people don't have food, clothes and living on the street like is going on in the West Coast you will see change.

I remember a few months ago you noted that truck driver salaries increased a lot recently. Guess what? They are going up dramatically more.

That’s one thing I actually like about the company that I work for. There was no BS like that. Here’s what we pay, here’s our bonus program, run as many miles as you can or want. I can do math, I don’t nee hype. Lol I appreciated it. No broken promises, just facts.
