I would’ve let all the air out and called in a flat tire. Ain’t no way to prove you did it, aint no way they can make you run a flat. You gotta play more poker brother, it makes you a good shiester! GL on your next gig! Don’t forget that playing by the book only gets you as far as you can throw it!

also, that tire ain’t crazy bad. If it was a steer, then yes, but a trailer tire…ive ran muuuch worse on containers.

Exactly. Bottom feeder companies like that should be placed OOS.

rim2.jpg rims1.jpg Could have kept your $100k per year job by replacing the tire yourself with a used $300 tire. Or if it was an outside tire, just drive the inside tire up on a 4x4 and spoon off the outside tire and take pics of the bare rim, your company will not argue with you about whether or not the tire can go 450 more miles.

You're crowd sourcing an answer. That means you'll get a variety of answers and you'll need to sort through them with an open mind to find the 'correct' answer. While it's a lot easier to self validate than it is to listen to hard truths, in the long run it doesn't pay dividends.

Tire wasn’t that bad . It would have been off my equipment long ago. It’s Illegal but I’d have driven it to a tire shop loaded ……

But I don’t believe in the Cascadia mindset ……

Tires with a diagonal wear pattern like this are the result of broken belts. The wear doesn’t happen all at once. I could give the benefit of doubt on the pretrip as that spot could have been on the bottom and thus not visible.
Being a broken belt and loaded would it have blown? Hard to tell.
