New to trucking. THinking of buying trucks. Talked with some drivers and they told me to lease my trucks out to them. Wondering why they'd want to go with leasing with me instead of company. Is that good way to go? I mean, what are my liabilities here? Why not lease with companies than me?
New to Trucking. Should I lease out trucks?

This is a full time job with millions of dollars at risk when one of those trucks gets into an accident.
I have a serious question for you, where did you get the idea that this is an industry that you can make money in?Opendeckin, lynchy, homeskillet and 1 other person Thank this. -
Opendeckin, Trucker Paul, lynchy and 4 others Thank this.

Why not buy a pizza restaurant?
would you buy a pizza restaurant without ever having worked at one ?
perhaps buy a used car dealership without ever having worked at one ?
why not buy a nail salon ?
this is the same thing .
If you have many tens of thousands of dollars laying around earning nothing , I’d recommend real estate .
trucking is mostly about managing risk , and is not a business you can run successfully by an absentee owner wit zero knowledge of the industry.Opendeckin, Trucker Paul, Sirscrapntruckalot and 3 others Thank this.
