That’s the .10c security device we use on the trains if when drop them somewhere. Dime in the supply line between the trailers works. One of my drivers got back to his trailers and found someone tried to steal them. Lead was dropped with the landing gear up and he could see the marks where they spun the truck out trying to pull away with them. Guess they gave up went and stole someone else’s trailers.

Dimes are easy to get out while a quarter tends to get stuck inside the glad hand.

No kidding. I had a quarter push the seal into the glad-hand at -35 and wedged the whole works in there pretty good. Almost changed it before I got it out. I said a few bad words. Dimes the way to go.

A few years ago I threw in the towel on the whole fueling inconsiderate pricks, I used to lose my shat like you did, then I realized the industry has changed and common courtesy for the fellow driver is gone. So I realized it’s just not worth getting pissed off over it every single time I fuel, so I just plan on jag offs being inconsiderate when I stop for fuel. At least it keeps my blood pressure in check.

I usually pull in and do my paper work, then I’ll start fueling one tank and walk in and grab a beer, usually by the time I’m back I can fuel the other tank, do a walk around and check tires and such, possibly grab another beer,

The joys of having my own fuel in the yard, on the chance I have to fuel on the road, I fuel and go (and skip the beer for obvious reasons) but I never go to mega chain stops for fuel, because I can’t deal with it either
