Started School today

Decided last wensday to pick a school and start as soon as possible(ive been thinking about it and looking at school for a couple months now but didn't have any plans). If anyone read my thread in the picking a school forum I was haveing a real problem finding a school that was approved by Werner and I could get a student loan for. I thought about going to MO roadmaster school (cost was 7k) where my brother lives. The closest school to me is 3 1/2 hours drive in Dunbar WV. Approved by Werner but no loans. My grandmother decided to loan me the money 5k + expenses. So with very little info friday I enrolled went and got my physical, drug test, and no one told me I had to go to the DMV for a cdl test card, nor did they say that I needed cash for the test card and hazmat background/finger print. They way they told me it sounded like the school payed it out of the tuition. But I had enough cash for the cdl test card but not the hazmat. I'll be going sometime this week to start that. Was glad I could get it all done. Then Today was my first day of school. Classes are 7am-3ish pm. Went over the WV CDL manual and watched a few videos. Learned alot.
Friday we will be going for our cdl permit. Then another week of class room stuff. the 3rd/4th week is driving. Seems easy for now. As to why I'm going with Werner is so I can team with my uncle. Maybe later I can drive with my brother he just got his own truck lease operator I beleave.

 

Just finished a cdl general knowledge practice test I was given in class today. Missed 18 out of 100 questions, missed 5 on the first 50 and 13 on the last. and once I get something wrong then learn the real answer I won't miss it again. Not bad for only 1 day of knowing nothing. I have the combination and air brake practice test but havn't gone into anything specific about them so I'm gonna hold off on doing them. Tomorrow we might have a test in class in general knowledge.
