This week's going to be bad. On a 1700 mi load now but doesn't deliver until Saturday morning. Picked up a 700 mile load Friday that was supposed to deliver Saturday night at 10. Was supposed to be a drop and hook but shipper said they didn't have any empties(saw one of our trailers on the yard, but wasn't sure if it was empty or not) so didn't get anywhere on it Friday. Told dispatch I wasn't going to make otd. Sent eta when loaded. Nothing Saturday. Ask about it when I shutdown, get told basically to just head in at my eta. Get to customer, get told we have to reschedule. Hear nothing all day Sunday. Finally get a new appointment Monday morning for Monday night. So basically this week's 700mi plus some detention maybe. Side note: if someone asks if a place is open 24 hrs, would your response be just no, or no, but these are their hours? Maybe I'm weird idk

Yea, better than whats being posted here. I deliver to the ice cream plant this morning. I figured, with sky high fuel prices that I'd be picking up something out of the USCS warehouse next door. I had told BH2.0 on Monday that I would have a reset in and would have the hours and the time to make it to Henderson by Friday if one was available. Nope...grab an empty and head to Memphis for a live load at 10 going to Louisville for tomorrow. Will just eek out a 2500 mile week. Now, the customer in Louisville is the one that usually reloads out of the same door going to Reno. I told BH2.0 that I would have the hours to run that if they want to get me set up on it. He said "we'll see what they decide"...ummm no, part of your job is to push the planners in the right direction. I told him, poke the planner for these loads because 0 miles deadhead makes more profit for the company and I am willing to run back out there. He has progressed at his job, but there are still some areas he needs to improve upon. I guess I am gonna have to teach him how to be pushy and annoying in a subtle way.

I have an almost new trailer that nobody has ever de-cruded the drain tubes. It was doing a defrost, and water was just dribbling out. Pulled a handful of drill cuttings from when they 1st built the trailer, and got wet from just the gravity draining the nice cool water out...kinda felt good since it's pushing 100° here in Memphis

Im starting to get yoyr luck with trailers SSB. Picked up a trailer yesterday in springdale. Instead of the driver taking it to our shop in springdale he dropped it. They had to put 5 tires on it. Just picked up a trailer in rogers with wiring messed up, abs light on and a light out

I started to hook to an empty trailer at the Unilever plant in Covington. 8406##, so almost brand new...except for the customers red tag on the front stating that the right door wouldn't close...here is why

The pictures don't do the damage justice. The whole door was warped. And it didn't mention this

The landing gear handle wasn't just off, laying on the ground, but the shaft it hooked to was snapped off at the gear box. Why can't these people destroy the remaining 837 and 838 trailers instead of screwing up the new ones.

I have lost almost all my respect for management in Lincoln. They piss and moan about fuel cost and how we need to idle less, watch our out of route miles, fuel where they say... hypocrite bull ####!!!!!! The load I just delivered was right next to the warehouse we pick up at all the time, they knew way ahead of time when I would be there,.and what kind of hours I would have, so planning a load out of there, even if it was just to take it to someone else who needed it to get home, would have been more profitable than deadheading me out of there and deadheading someone else in. Same with this load. We haul out of the same place I am delivering, in fact you reload right out of the same door you unload out of, and never have to move. But, they deadheaded me away from the ice cream plant to pick up this load, and they're deadheading me away from the delivery into Indiana to pick up my next load. Same ######## with fuel. Last week, way out of route, past my customer to fill...even after re-requesting a new solution. This load, not as far out of route, but still out of route for fuel. Past the fuel stop and re-requested, now no fuel required. Operations can waste miles left and right, and nobody cares...but we waste a penny, and they are on us like ugly on a monkey. As far as I am concerned, I won't go out of my way to same them one red cent...Most Valuable Asset my ###
