On a beautiful sunny morning, a young and hungry Canadian driver after finishing his 5 overnight drops in NYC is asked to move empty to reload in CT.
He looks at his deep but empty pockets and decided that this is his tacos money.
Since I95 is full of tolls and he is really poor and hungry, he checks his atlas and choose an option.
US 1 runs just parallel with I95 and that's his magic plan.
Little does he knows that US 1 is nothing but a horrible trap, but, he is tired and hungry and dreaming of piles of tacos.
He takes that route and not even 10 minutes later he faces his first bridge.
What is that sign saying? Oops, 11.6 feet!!!
No bueno, mi amigo. 11.6 means Hasta la vista tacos.
But, wait... What is that shiny helmet slowly coming up from under the bridge?
A NYC police officer? This is his lucky day indeed.
The officer looks at the Canadian driver and politely asks: Tell me driver, are you gonna try to cross under that bridge?
The driver, with a sad puppy face replies:
No Sir. But I have a hunch that you are gonna help me, right? Right?
The officer asked the driver to back up about 5 feet, he said follow me, he puts his blue lights on and started moving slowly to a little converging street that formed a Y intersection.
One way street moving against the traffic and forcing all incoming car traffic to get on the sidewalk.
The truck driver made a heroic 135 degrees turn in that intersection without hitting anything (thanks to a perfect 205 inches long wheelbase) and followed the officer.
After a left turn at the next intersection the police officer stopped, showed the driver the interstate entrance and wished him a good day.
Nothing was hit that day, but no tacos were eaten either.
Wherever you are, dear officer, a Canadian driver prays for your safety. God bless you, Sir.
It's a starter story. The really spooky ones to follow soon.Last edited: Jul 19, 2022

Driving down the road one night, noone in sight, coming down a hill and round a curve and there’s all kinda lights and vehicles all over stopped.
Somehow maneuvering around and not hitting anyone or anything but getting stopped passed the crash.
Walking back and seeing what is going on, they find everyone except one dude was missing his head.
Leaving and going on, kept hearing this thumping, like a flat tire.
after daylight pulled over to see what it was, and ducking under and checking, there was this dude’s head stuck between the duals with his eyes open starring back.Last edited: Jul 20, 2022

When I was a kid, it was dark and we were going down a road in northern Wisconsin. I was maybe 6 or 7. Saw a flying saucer coming down into the trees right next to the road. Mom and dad dont remember anything about it.
I have more.PoleCrusher, supergreatguy, Another Canadian driver and 2 others Thank this. -
