How to get out of Lewiston ID to North Carolina?

    If u take Hwy 12. Just understand there 0 cell service for most of the way. If u break down ur on ur own.

    I think the OP has givennup on 12 and is deciding between I-90 and I-84/80. I vote for I-90.

    I always take HWY 12 from that area. Beautiful drive if during the day time. if you are going at night you will want to watch out for the dear that get trapped on the road. Lots of curves as well.

    If you take that way and have some time you should stop in Lolo 12 and 93. Right before you get to 93 there is a great steak house (LOLO CREEK STEAK HOUSE) that you can walk to from the truck stop. Very good food and nice looking joint.

    Isn’t 12 that road that goes through Walla Walla, been a while...

    Yes. I've driven from Walla Walla to Lewiston on 12. It is beautiful. I don't know what 12 is like east of Lewiston. Apparently it'll put hair on your chest.

    It is an easy drive and beautiful. Not for the faint hearted In the winter time, so don't try it if you have never been on it before. One of my favorite drives and would love to take a ride on motorcyle through that area.
