Just sitting here chillin waiting for dispatch to call. And one of our drivers walks by wearing flip-flops and basketball warmup pants...we're an open deck company, I wonder if this is how he dresses to pick up or deliver. I personally think the 1st question recruiting asks should be, "do you now or have you ever worn flip-flops or warmup jerseys while on the job?". If they say yes, then it should be an automatic disqualification from pulling an open deck for us, and a recommendation for them to go pull dry van or a reefer should be presented.

Chilling in the truck is a little different then walking around at the main head quarters where all the “important” people are. It shows lack of pride in my opinion.

Lol you should see what some of our heavy haulers wear on their downtime. I don’t think it’s a big deal so long as they are not showing up at a jobsite dressed that way.

I personally dress up when I’m at a terminal, but that’s just me. I also never wear my steel toe’s unless I’m loading or unloading, otherwise it’s my go fasters or doc martins.
