I always tell the forklift/crane guy to put them up there. I would never attempt trying to walk up a ladder with tarps. If theres no one around. You can unroll them on the ground and tie rope to It and throw rope to other side and pull them over that way.. If no rope.. Do the same procedure, except take a bungee and hook to a couple d rings next to another as tight as you can. Hook flat end of strap to the bungee, throw excess strap over and pull. These are much safer and they both work... hell I don't even lift my tarps off the ground anymore.

 

They have a tarping machine there. You roll your tarps out next to the trailer and drag them over. Exactly like this. https://youtu.be/qgWAafjyDFo

your load could look something like this.

keep the straps towards the ends of the crates or where there Is a vertical support in the middle. Don’t go crazy tightening the straps and crushing stuff like cardboard boxes. Remember 2-3 snug straps is better then one thigh strap and a crushed box.

it will. Don’t be afraid to move things around by hand. Like that cardboard box sticking up. I would lay it down somewhere, everything is labeled.
