    From booking to loading was 9 days - leaving the house to load, unload and back home - 5 days. About 1100 miles all up.

    So no - 14 days $14.5k doesn’t quite meet expectations, but close to $3k/day actually away from home and working does.

    I’d do another and be better prepared to accurately quote it this time.

    I can see the cop saying:

    "Son, this thing you're hauling ain't supposed to be here."

    And the sad part is, that driver will do it again until he eventually kills himself in the process, hopefully alone when it finally happens.
