They tried light weight big tarps. This tarp was a 40x60 light weight, it still weighed 400 pounds. They thought that was so much better then Bertha that weighed 700 pounds. I’m still not picking up a 400 pound tarp. The problem with light weight tarps is they are not durable, that brand new tarp split at the seams as I was trying to pull it off the load. It was repairs but I think it only lasted a few years.
The tarp I’ve been showing is Baby Bertha at only 40x40 heavy weight. I think it weighs around 400. I was able to move it from one trailer to another by parking 6” away and kind of rolling it.

We do have some lighter 24x40 skin box tarps for tarping skin boxes. We started out with 7. I think two of those are left. Theft or destruction and guys claiming theft.
Btw check out that rope job on the second picture. That 15’ wide box is made up of aluminum I beams so you can hook the loose hooks right under the edge.

TlR yes, not really, doesn’t matter because they like to keep the big tarps in Washington so they usually are never in the right place anyway.

 

They knew who they were dealing with and didn't want their good name blasted across TTR I'm guessing.
