Interesting. It sounds like the "in transit" layover is a nice reward for not letting the grass grow under your wheels in truck stops. If you are a hard charger, this is a little extra money over and above just putting in more miles. That's awesome!

Out on the road again. Reciever here in Piedmont, SC was a pain. For some reason they decided to take almost 4 hours to break my seal, but then only spend 15 minutes unloading me and getting my paperwork back. That also meant that the broker load i had out of Hotlanta was canceled, since i wouldn't have made it in time, especially with evening rush hour traffic. So here i am sitting at the local friendly Pilot in Piedmont waiting to hear back about reload info. Not the most well thought out truck stop on earth but there's far worse places to be.

I bought a new showerhead at Walmart for about $30 yesterday for the Coon Rapids Terminal. It's a nice one with 8 different shower settings on it. I threw away the handheld showerhead that had been on there for at least the year that I've been here, but in all likelihood it's probably been there for many years. When I took off the old showerhead brown stuff that looked like mud was all clogged up to the pipe that connects that showerhead to the main pipe (if that makes sense). It was gross. I cleaned off the area as best I could and then put the new showerhead on.

I don't like nor trust those handheld shower heads where you can take it off the stand because it's almost guaranteed that some people use it to clean their private parts or armpits or other unsavorry areas of the body, where all their grime is dripping onto that showerhead because of people positioning the showerhead directly underneath said areas of the body. So with the showerhead where you can't take it off the pipe and it just stays in one spot, you're more likely to not have that nasty grime buildup on it like you would with a handheld showerhead that you can take off the pipe. Just a paranoia or OCD I have lol.

So I just bought a new shower curtain a month or so ago for the Coon Rapids shower and now it has a brand new showerhead that I bought yesterday 10 28 22. So once again, anybody reading this thread even if you don't post on the forum or even have an account here, if you see the shower curtain is dirty please buy one at Walmart for $5 and change it out before letting it get to the point where it's covered in moldy black spots all over.

Does anybody know if there are showers/overnight parking/drivers lounge/ability to drop the trailer and PC at the new terminal we have in MN? Has anyone been to that new terminal yet?

I try to avoid the shower there if at all possible for those reasons. At least in Fargo you have the option of the Stamart or the J across town. I make sure to shower beforehand if i know I'll be in Coon Rapids for more than a day or so.

I know next to nothing about the new terminal apart from what has been said in Peoplenet messages. I'd call Chad or one of the MN driver managers and ask.

That is actually Amazon that you are looking at. The new terminal, completely new construction and not on the maps yet. I have not personally been there but I was at the old Lakeville Terminal often which was shared with Globus transport. I do remember seeing the occasional truck or dropped trailer parked on Humboldt if you're in a bind and need a spot to park. Other safe spots to park on the south end of the Twin Cities would be on the street near Coke in Eagan, Or about five miles east of the New Lakeville terminal on the street in front of R&l carriers. Farther north, my favorite spot was on the street in the little industrial park near Martin Brower. Just don't park where all the no parking signs are right by Martin Brower and you are good. I parked there more often than I parked at Coon Rapids. It was quieter and right off 694.

OK that was my mistake. Sorry about that. I was thinking we were in the other half of the same building, but it looks like our terminal is possibly across Jacquard Avenue in what looks like just a bunch of trees in this picture. Sorry for the misleading information. @MaineRoad96 I hope I didn't mess you up!

You can no longer park in the street by coke in Eagan.
