Length 61 ft 6 in typo?

51'6" + 1'6" = 53'
This was a popular reefer trailer size in Canada for years.

 

That would be my guess

 

Pretty sure 57’ is what’s allowed and only in some states here in the 48…

Walmart has some 60 footers in Ontario Canada

 

I had to search this, because it’s already easy enough to be overweight with a 53’. Sure enough. It’s a tri-axle 60 footer. I figured there had to be a specific tandem configuration for them.

 

Jesus, because 53' isn't long enough?

 

I don’t know. Look at turnpike doubles and triples. They’re 2 X 45’-53’ and 3 X 28.5’, depending where you live. Rocky Mountain doubles are a 45’-48’, with a 28.5’ behind the first.
