J.B. Hunt announces inward facing cameras

I am not a fan of them either, just presenting what was explained to me at the last company I worked at who had this sort of system.

The third party removes the false positives, and only forwards along those videos which meet the criteria the trucking company has set, in order to reduce...

I am actually surprised to hear that J.B. didn't do this a long time ago. As they are one of the mega-est of the megas.

 

That's why I don't even get why companies use them. The footage could be subpoenaed in a court and used to place blame against the company. The company's defense will be, "we trained the driver properly. check out our weekly infinit-i assignments, so it's the drivers fault, and we should be allowed to wipe our hands of 100% of the responsibility and throw the driver under the bus."

Of course, no one's going to get a juicy settlement from Joe-Schmo driver so inevitably the company will be blamed for not coaching the driver enough. I don't see how this wouldn't ever backfire against the company.

It's all good, probably gets reviewed by the CCP at some point too.

 

Please. Then when they take their eyes off their computer screen for more than two seconds they can be written up.

 

Are you sure? The driver-facing camera list thread on here needs to be updated if that's the case.

 

Ummmm.....not that I can remember. I'm assuming you have. Now if your nuts are itching, you either need a shower, shave, or both. Or for other drivers, they may have hooked up with the wrong woman, in that case, they need a doctor lol

 

I have several good friends that drive for WM at two different dc’s. Forward only on the cameras.

 

Did this change in the past few years? Last I heard they had driver-facing cameras.
