I might have the 34 hour flu if one is sent to me. There are plenty of jobs hauling crap like that around the house, there is no need for a OTR driver to get stuck on a load like that.

Not headed to the yard. I messaged my travel agent this morning and gave him an update on my hours. Said I would have 14-15 hours on my 70 once I was empty, so if they had a load I could deliver before the end of the pay period that had the option of doing a 34 enroute, I could manage that. May as well burn the hours I have before resetting. I try to give them options when I am up in this area since freight can be hit and miss...so now I pick up in SeaTac tomorrow and deliver in Goodyear AZ by Friday.

@kylefitzy, is there a limit to how many receipts for paid parking they'll reimburse on one load(a legal load, not a permit load)? Because of the pickup date and time (and the fact that nobody could find a working number for my pickup cuatomer's location) I ended up heading to North Bend and paying for parking before loading. Now, because they have a 14:00 pu time on the load, in order to get this delivered with enough time to find parking, I am gonna have to run late into the night tonight and do a 34 (only pick up 5.5 hours tomorrow night) then run some vampire shift to get to the delivery. Which means at least one more reserved spot...maybe 2 because I am running thru the woods between Twin Falls and Vegas.

Made it to Mountain Home a little after midnight logbook time. No regular spots available so I backed into one of the paid spots then went and talked to the guy at the fuel desk. I noticed that only 1 truck in the paid section had a receipt in the window out of the dozen or so that were parked there. When I asked, he said that there were only 2 people working in the truckstop overnight, and Flying Peelot's rules for checking the trucks in the lot for receipts require a 2 person team for safety, so nobody would be checking until the next days reservation time...so I went back out to the truck to catch some zzzzz's, about the time I was getting my jammies on, a truck pulled out of the regular spots...so I took his spot so I can do a 34 without any issues. Sometimes a blind squirrel does find a nut. Oh, and I checked the trip odometer that I reset every hometime. I left home last Wednesday, by last night (Tuesday) it had registered 4007 miles in 7 days and I still have 3.01 left on my 70.

well I swapped my empty wing trailer for another empty wing trailer in Wichita. They go through the yard to have our mechanic check them out after each trip. Tomorrow I’ll drop that in texas and Friday I’ll load one of our 64’ trailers heading for GA.
I will end the month with around 7k miles, with 1000 carrying over when I deliver on the first of next month. Not bad for 14 days at home and 3 customer paid detention days. Hopefully may will be busier for me.D.Tibbitt, Lonesome, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this. -
