The plan was to buy a new folding sign for the new 880 that was ordered. A hard folding sign wouldn’t work so well on this new aero truck.

I didn't look closely at your pic until now... that's exactly what is sitting here. How much does that thing weigh? I'm not sure I am quite up to hauling something that big.

Oh come on, I was going to volunteer you to take it over to Weatherford. It goes exactly where you were supposed to go.

as far as weight, I have no clue. Never Weighed one. But they are not real heavy, maybe 10k. That would put our gross around 55k. 4 corner chains and 4 straps over the top to keep the lids on as a safety if it’s not tarped.

It's got the blue cover on it just like the one in your picture. That's what, a 16' wide?

14’ to 15’6”. Just depends on the box. Most are 15’ though.

Do the new trucks still have the tow hook tubes in the front bumper? (Didn't look close at the ones sitting at the yard). Since they're not putting a Prius deflector on the front of the new ones, the shop could fabricate a frame that goes in those to hold a folding oversized load sign.

    dwells40 and kylefitzy Thank this.

They should have if you’re using the aero bumpers, ours come that way and we remove the bumper…

They probably do. Prior to this 'operation weight loss' on the new equipment, that's where they mounted the Prius deflectors. Even for us mortal occasional OD drivers, some sort of frame for the mesh signs would help to keep from screwing up the finish on the bumper from the sign moving in the wind.

After noon on a Friday and I am still sitting here at the Lonestar yard. Wichita called this morning needing a trailer inventory (which I had already did yesterday for my dispatcher). Starting to get this sinking feeling I am in Texas for the weekend. Not sure what they could find that'll load this late on a Friday.

    dwells40 Thanks this.
