Yakima is a very easy drop and hook. Once you get your papers all you do is hook up to your trailer and leave. No guard shack or anyone else to talk to after

 

I took 84/86/30 to Little America and 80 across Wyoming. Quiet route and you avoid the whole SLC area.

 

I think I would rather avoid Denver. Tell me why I am wrong, CD.

I arrived in council bluffs yesterday morning and prior to going home I needed to arrange to have some work done on my truck so I went in and met james ...what a pleasant surprise to not hear.
A: we don't have time.
B: well wel look at it.
C.yeah we can git ya in next week.
Also no bad attitudes or BS about how the moon and planets gotta be in the right sync .
Then last night I dam near fell on the floor when Joshua called me with an update on the work .
I dont think ill be getting out of here before the weekend.

Yeah, takes awhile to get used to that!.. I thought the same when I came here, then moreover when I leased. I expected them to never have time for me because of company trucks, but what a pleasant surprise to find out they actually treat us like customers. ( actually much better than most truck shops treat customers!)

 

Yep pretty refreshing with the last 2 years at Morehouse since the long time shop manager retired I dam near had to beg to get anything done and then half the time they would screw it up .
Fcc as a whole is very progressive as opposed to my former carrier and I'm now glad I was encouraged to leave .

 

Dispatch sent me a message Monday morning about my ETA to Garland, TX so they can set an appointment. I wasn't able to reply to them until that afternoon, apparently after they all went home. Sent an additional message but no response so still no appointment time. I'll still head that direction tomorrow morning and see what they want me to do.

Also gonna see if I can swing by the house on Saturday to get a 34 in and then back out Monday morning, purely so I can fix this weird schedule that I'm in at the moment.

 

It also helps if you call ahead of time. I've always called ahead with an ETA and they're ready to pull my truck in as soon as I get to the yard. Both shops are top notch in my opinion, and their maintenance program is second to none.
