    Perhaps.

But....I would submit...with all due respect....the above questions are all still valid, & fair.....and deserve solid answers at some point, before you guys start to fill out any applications.

I rode OTR with a trainer when I started out, as well.

    Good times. NOOOTTT!!!!

Might not be a bad option but I sold my truck earlier this year and they only take owner operators. Lol

I might be wrong, but I don't think the additional pay to teams is worth it unless it is going into one household.
Teams are expected to keep that truck moving most of the time and they get the loads that absolutely positively have to be there on time. That's a lot of pressure 24 hours a day.
    Just sayin

I drove for a hazmat tanker company and volunteered to run teams for awhile because a customer had a rush order for some tanker loads of acid leaving out of Nashville, TN going to Seattle, WA.
I knew the driver well; he's married to my wife's cousin. Both Navy vets and had been to the same ports in the Orient.
Anyway, the team runs went well and when that job was complete, we both went back to solo driving. If I wanted to team it would be with tankers or reefers.

Edit: The tanker team runs we did was in the winter months; lots of snow & ice. Had to use intransit heat on the trailer to keep the acid warm enough to flow when we pumped it off.
The trucks we used were Volvo with automatic transmission.
Intransit heat; hot water lines running around the outside of the tank, but between the tank and stainless steel over the entire trailer. Hot water comes from the engine. There's a connection where the water from the engine is routed to the trailer, then back to the engine. Simple setup and works well.

Hobby Lobby is just down the road in OKC. They're strictly team and they'll hook you up on a dedicated route.

I couldn’t possibly see the appeal of getting that closely acquainted with someone else’s body odor.
