    Wanting to leave yesterday afternoon didn't work out. Instead I'm up at 2:30 am to get to my truck and start my week. I prefer to run these times anyways. At least up here, there's hardly anyone on the road to deal with. There's something blissful about experiencing the still of the night, hearing distant animals, and having all the stars above you. I wish I could describe it.

    This load was cursed… lol

    Was to be available for DnH at 0600 yesterday at Crete but was just on the dock at 1030 and finally rolling out at almost 1500 and then it was to be a simple DnH at Mt Juliet TN but DM gave me a heads up that it might be a Live Unload once I got there. But when I got there at 1550 I was informed it was a LUL but scheduled for 2000. {rolls eyes}

    So we headed to the local Loves down the street for a few hours and returned 1800 hoping to bump the dock early.

    At that point I simply verifiedthat it was to be a LUL as I thought it was to be a DnH. Security Guard asked “would you prefer to grab an MT because we have 3 MTs if you would prefer that.”

    LOL … “well, if you have 3 MTs I’ll gladly take one of them off your hands and get out of your hair.”

    :)

    so between PU and Drop it consumed 8 additional hours. 4.25 on the front end and 3.75 on the tail.

    Next load can’t PU until morning so I’m shutting down a bit early to watch a movie with the better half.

    ya, things have obviously slowed down a bit (which you all are experiencing too) and they are trying to stretch the loads out a bit to fr load to load. And this is a new DnH customer for us too and they are getting the kinks worked out too.

    yup… welcome to trucking

    And yet, FCC is still an awesome place to have these little occasional issues at too.

    stay safe

    I feel ya, got to Crete at 13:00 today to pick up a load that was supposed to have been preloaded by 08:00, of course it wasn't ready, and all doors were full. 6 hours later I was outta there..... oh well that's truckin some days... hell, that place sucks even when the loads are ready lol

    I can't say I've been ecstatic about FCCs outbound freight so far but I do know from talking to my spot market friends in various markets that things are really slow now.
    I think fcc is grabbing what they can to keep us moving.
    Glad I don't have a truck payment now !

    Companies with good reputations usually are the ones who get called upon when things slow down…

    They also don't know where they put the trailers that they load. Person at shipping last Friday said my trailer was at another location around the block. Went up the hill to drop my empty and guess what I found sitting up there?
