How much weight does the roof of a trailer hold?

    Maybe, but at the two shops I have experience with the mechanics don't care. I've even seen them sprint because they forgot something at one end of the trailer. I see a lot of mechanics on roofs, because GM loves to put holes in the roofs. I average about one roof repair a week. And of course they use that peel and stick tape stuff, so there are times they need to get back up there and remove and reapply it.

    At least these mechanics aren't careful where they walk.....

    And knowing that I've been a candidate for "America's Funniest Home Videos" when trying to SIT in a folding chair, I can't imagine doing that 13 and a half feet in the air with no railings.

    Reefer trailers have a more substantial roof than dry boxes.

    well on the one hand. you'll be closer to the sun to get skin cancer faster.

    and let me tell you this now, you go and do that and get caught by a rat fink with your company, then come winter you refuse to get up there and shovel snow off that roof, what will you tell your company then..??

    that yer skeered of heights..???

    get a flatbed, light up a ceegar, and have at it.
