Someone threw out a can of dog food,
At the new TA in norwood, mo, stopped just now to start log from Ag Exempt, and seen something moving with the can, looked like a black plastic sack.
But I knew differently, put on my gloves, walked over and talking to the cat with its head stuck in the can, ears pinned back, bleeding.
Was able, after a few grabs to hold the cat which was twisting and jumping to hold it down without being scratched, (thanks leather gloves) and pulled it’s head free carefully.
It ran off, without so much a look back, but it’s free and alive, a momma cat with kittens near by look of her.
Mashed can and threw it in garbage.
Maybe someone will think before doing it again.
Noticed afterwards a Transport America driver had stopped and watching me get the can from the cats head, but everything worked out on a good note.
Cat ran into old shop, had a small cut from metal on can but should be ok, from what I seen.
