DOT Foods contacted me and said the hiring manager should get with me by the end of this week or early next week. They read my application, went over the schedule I preferred, and asked if I was seeking to obtain a hazmat and tanker endorsement which I said yes.

Good luck with DOT. Good company to stick with for years.

Don't let the reading material in the tanker & hazmat endorsement studies "spook" you away from opportunities from DOT (or anyone else -- for that matter).

If DOT later extends to you a job offer -- go ahead & take it (then keep it).

Later on -- you'll be glad you did.

I applied for Sysco today and if that doesn't work (still no response from DTI) then I'll just go down to Florida with my parents at the end of September since they are snowbirds, I seen a lot of sugarcane trucks during my time down there and they'll probably be hiring

DOT hiring process is slow and thorough. You probably will be hired.
