Typical for the plastic parts on the new T680’s, especially along the side fairings. Bummer about the wood hit, I hate those because it’s not serious enough to repair so you end up having to live with it…

Just wait. The plastic tabs start snapping off, and it'll rattle at idle so bad. Then pieces will Stat falling off. It's embarrassing.Friend Thanks this.

My Sweedish Dog is similar. The plastic bumper corner they replaced earlier this year is already loose at the connection with the center part. They said the center piece is worn, but only put on the outer piece(it just clicks together with the center piece and has some bolts at the inner fender at the other end, that don't hold crap)...it is also the part of the bumper that they attach the twist lock OD flag base to that has no structure to keep it from flexing.Winnyf1 Thanks this.

don’t even get me started on the Cascadia and that stupid low bumper. My wife Nissan Sentra has more clearance than my Tupperware torpedo …… gets tore up on a driveway slope

I guess 5 days notice of when I would be empty isn't enough time to get a load set up for me. Got empty 1st thing this morning, just like I told them and I am still sitting. #### am I glad they forced me off the daily rate plan so I can sit for free

Friend, motocross25 and Rugerfan Thank this. -
I've always thought that style of bumper was just so the Freightliner parts division could sell more replacement parts. Those are almost as bad as those Texas bumpers that need a hydraulic lift to raise them so a driver can get into an uneven location.ncmickey Thanks this.
-
Yes but the Texas bumpers can be lifted, these aero bumpers are really not suited for anything but perfect highway driving - run over a gator or idle through a rough yard and you’ll be doing damage. And with so many mega’s and starter companies using those trucks, the poor drivers are getting dinged for doing damage on their DAC reports.Gearjammin' Penguin and ncmickey Thank this.

Still nothing from Arlington. Guess now they don't have to pay me a daily rate to sit, they're in no hurry. Maybe I'll start holding my delivery's paperwork until I am dispatched on my next load. That way they can't bill the customer until I have something.
-
Unfortunately they will still bill the customer and you won’t be paid. Perhaps they are working on getting you a load that takes you home? I understand our concern as I’m stuck in Phoenix getting a bunk heater repaired and an update on my injector software and one of the jobs the planners found would have sent me to CA lol. I gently suggested they take a breath, look for a load for tomorrow and find me something heading east. The stress of trying to get a majority of your drivers home for the holidays stresses folks on both sides of the desk…
-
Kinda hard to bill the customer with no signed bills, it wasn't one of our regular accounts. They have known about my PTA since last Wednesday, ample time to secure a load. According to my dispatcher, there isn't anything on me (it's usually indicated on the system some how when there is something in the works)...hope they realize that I topped off my tanks before delivering, so I have ample fuel to deadhead home from here, and won't hesitate to do so.
