Load info says model is PW1521G-3. It says it is 160" x 90" x 95". I have 3 spools of rope which should be adequate. I used only 2 when I had a full trailer out of Park City a while back and had some extra length on both sides.

You should be golden then. The pw1500 is about 3/4 the size of a pw1100. Should fit nicely under the end of a three piece.Friend Thanks this.

Do they have any sort of tarp crane or anything that will assist getting a tarp up on the engine? Unrolling a tarp on a round engine is gonna be a #####. I have been laying here half the night going over it in my feeble brain and I am not sure how I will get this tarped. Honestly, if they ever assign me to another engine load without a conestoga, I will tell them to shove it and deadhead as close to home as I can get with what fuel I have left and hitch hike the rest of the way home, then tell them where the truck died so they can pick it up.

They are gonna video tape you trying to tarp it. Then after they get plenty if that they will show you the tarp station
-
And I will take my chains off and tell them to remove the thing and find someone else to move their garbage.

Right now, with all the b.s. this company is going thru with this Wylie partnership, this describes me perfectly
Woobie, hope not dumb twucker, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Wow. That’s the spirit.
roll the tarp out on the ground, over the forks, partially unfold if, and have them lift it on with the forklift. Use a rope or fifth wheel puller to drag it off the forks. -
I have just given up all hope of any future with this company, or should I say, what this company is evolving into.

Amazing to see the different dynamics regarding this company, can’t say for sure but @kylefitzy you seem to be a younger man, could be wrong, but you’re a tenured guy with the company, always willing to help, I don’t even pull a flatbed and have learned quite a bit from your tips on securement, you work for the same company and always seem to have a glass half full mentality, then the other end of the spectrum is doom and gloom. I don’t discount the way @supersnackbar is feeling about the current situation, but the constant negativity has to drag a man down over time, maybe it’s time to turn over the optimistic spoon and see it from another POV?

You’re pretty spot on. I’m 32 and have been here 9 years in January. I try to stay positive and pass on what I’ve learned over the years from others, especially on this site. Infact I found out about SPD through this site, and while the member who was working for them at the time is no longer active here, he now runs my terminal and manages my division. Funny how things work.
I fully understand why SSB feels the way he does, at least I think I do. He’s been through a Wylie transition before and I have not.
I do try to stay positive and focus on the good in most situations. Focusing on the negatives, especially ones you can’t control, just wastes energy in my opinion.
I don’t understand the problem with his engine load. It’s light, under 10k, takes one tarp, and two chains, maybe two straps if one wants to over do it. Most likely easy customers on each end, at least that’s been my experience with engine loads unless it’s picking up or delivering at a freight forwarder. And it goes towards the house for his home time request.
