You'd probably make more panhandling than driving truck.

While reviewing my pay statements for the year I discovered that, contrary to what they told me, the new pay package didn't start on 12/1, it started on the last week of November...I wonder what surprises 2024 will have in store for me.

They changed your pay program in the middle of a pay cycle/period? That’s something they’ve never done before.

Not only that, they now pay empty miles and loaded miles separately. Which can be a plus when you are picking up before the cutoff and delivering after. Just makes the calendar I write my miles down look cluttered. The load I delivered on the 28th, they paid the empty and loaded miles on the new plan plus the empty miles for the load I delivered after 12/1, that I picked it up on 11/28.

Plus I got 4 settlement statements for this weeks check. 1 from Wylie, 1 from Roadmaster and 2 identical ones from SPD.

They’ve paid empty and loaded miles separately since roadmaster was in charge of us for while. At least on the salary/ mileage side. This can be manipulated to the drivers advantage. Having a good month and you get to a stop the night of the last day of the month, go ahead and arrive. Short month, wait until the next day to arrive and get a jump start on the next months miles.

all my statements were business as usual. Did you usually get a statement from roadmaster or just Wylie? The pay plan you were on was a roadmaster thing, that’s probably why Wylie is getting rid of it.

I usually got 1 load statement (showing the miles) from either Roadmaster or Wylie(Roadmaster when they were doing our pay, Wylie when they took over that task), then a pay settlement showing the money from SPD (along with the ADT check stub). This week I got one from everybody

Huh, that’s strange. I’ve just been receiving the Wylie one that has the miles and money. Then there’s the statement that is in adp which has all the deductions and stuff. We’ve never been great at these automated systems and processes.
