I've had lots of layovers in the past. sometimes I'd sleep, listen to the Cb and chain smoke, spend money at the lottery machines, or if near a place with things to do---

Did the Henry Ford Museum while stuck in Deaborn

USS Alabama when stuck in Mobile

NASA Huntsville when held over north of there.

Even got in the car show at Charlotte Speedway one year... I spent all my money buying parts for my cars at home :(

I enjoy admiring my reflection in a mirror.
The hours seem to fly by.

Well before I worked for Heartland I had my Xbox360 (Truck had a 2500 watt inverter), but now I just have my laptop. If Im close to a bar I'll go have a few cold ones and shoot some pool.

Depends on where the layover is. I generally do what I call driver maintaince. Sleep in,catch up on emails, do laundry and goof-off. If there is a decent hotel/motel nearby I go spend the night there. This is to maitain what sanity I have left. :biggrin_255::biggrin_255:
