I've heard straight from my TM mouth she's got 30 days to get said employee tested once it hits her desk. I'd take pictures of the closed clinic with a time stamp on it.
Can't take but a daynor 2 for them to open back up

Yeah, that's what I'd do. Take a picture with time stamp.

when we first got hired, they hooked you up with a lie detector test. i went out on my run, was in the trailer, looked down,
i see this white box, for another customer, i call it in and they say we`ll be here when you get back in. I looked at the box
it said MORPHINE. got back , brought it to dispatch. They wanted to see what i was going to do with it. come to find
out all the little bottels of MORPHINE, were filled with water. a DUMMY BOX. ha ha ha.

That’s a good company policy. Waiting until the last minute to notify a driver can really blow.
Had it happen to me en route to a delivery. Boss called saying I needed to get an alcohol and drug test done and it absolutely needed to get done that morning. Dropped my loaded trailer at the Petro outside of Birmingham and bobtailed to this pediatric facility that did testing on the side. Felt like a complete idiot with my tractor stuffed in the small lot. Anyway got it done but wasn’t done per regulations. Being the alcohol test I should have tested before going on duty.

Had something simular happen a while back. Placed was closed down for almost a week due to a dui going through the lobby and killing a lady behind the desk and damgeing a support beam while they evaluated if the building was safe. In my case they just directed me to a diffrent testing facility owned by the same company the next day.

Not sure why he was pushing so hard for you to get in there unless the DM screwed up and it was a get tested today or be late thing.

He should be covered as long as his boss scheduled the appointment online. I go online and schedule the appointments and then print out the confirmation. Testing facility should cover the OP without any problems however he needs to be on it and in contact with the facility to cover his caboose.

That helps explain how all these fly by night Chicagoland companies are probably not really required to deal with this sort of thing.

I know i got popped for a random when i was stuck at a receiver for 5 days(full of product their buyer bought wrong product) and i got popped for a random through Cmci,
i told them what was going on, sent photos, and they checked where i was, if i left property they wouldn’t pay for layover.
They told me not to worry, they pulled different people.
But they pulled me again like 2 weeks later.

What I'd be doing is making the company set another appointment at a different clinic for that same day. I wouldn't be taking no for an answer. If I had to, I'd pay out of pocket so if someone wants to play games, I've got something besides my tallywaker to play with.
