When I picked my truck up from the shop last night, I couldn’t get it to log me in. Just said no network connection. I used my phone for logs but it had the location as KC the whole time. Even when I made it home 45 miles south. I guess I better call Drew today.

My next company will NOT have Samsara. It has only been a little over a week and I have already grown to hate Samsara more than any hatred I ever had for Peoplenet

Imho, given a choice between Peoplenet and Samsara, I would take Samsara every time. Maybe it’s because for my five day weeks, the clock means absolutely nothing. It is just so much easier to work with, especially when it comes to editing.

I am very old school as compared to you drivers here on the site. I started driving in 1969 and retired in 2011 and every truck I drove was Mack tri-plex and Maxi-torque 5 speed, 10 and 13 spd. manuals. I was also a paper log book or loose leaf logs so it was easy to maintain proper entries. I very seldom had to "cheat" as I was mostly daily or SE Regional and out not more than 5 days and home for a 34.

I would not want to drive today with all the sensors, buzzers, cameras and auto trans. in today's trucks and the computers would drive me crazy.

Turns out it was not the samsara that was at fault. The eld ties into the truck near the diag plug under the dash. The mechanic had unplugged it.

@navypoppop who’d you drive for in the day, by any chance CCC? They were one of the few all mack fleets, I spent some time there back in the day out of brooksville.

I am originally from NJ until we moved to FL in 1990. I drove for many companies there from 1969-1990. When I moved to St. Cloud, Fl I drove for Super Foods and Conway Southern Express. We moved back to Del. in 2004 and I drove for Conway Central Express and B & G Foods until I finally retired in 2011 and moved back to Winter Haven, FL. Most of my driving has been in Mack's and Freightliners.

Either this low deck conestoga is heavier than regular step conestogas or the shipper's weight is off. They said the load weight was 41,600...and I have full tanks
