I saw a video clip in which a diesel bear was talking --trying -- to a driver who spoke little English, not enough to communicate as necessary on American roads. The diesel bear cited the driver for not being able to communicate in English as the law requires. Comment after comment after comment blasted the inspector for not speaking Spanish or getting an interpreter. I pointed out the federal law that mandates being able to communicate in English and I got buried in an avalanche of insults saying how bigoted I am.
Standards of any kind are a thing of the past in the West now.

"I wonder if the Emperor Honorius watching the Visigoths coming over the seventh hill truly realized that the Roman Empire was about to fall. This is just another page in history, isn't it? Will this be the end of *our* civilization? Turn the page." -- Jean Luc PicardWisWestern, Woobie, MidWest_MacDaddy and 2 others Thank this.

Went back to pickup the load in Charlotte. It was a Schneider brokered load and the shipper told me they were loading a Schneider IC and not me and had me pull out of the dock and leave the property. Three days in a row of layover. Crappy half week. Tomorrow starts another week and headed to Barnwell SC for a load to Topeka. Need some of Chris' luck (or skill) about now.

I've never slid my tandems a fraction of the times I do with FCC. My last carrier, we had 2 or 3 places at which we had to slide them. Here, it's most places.
AAlso never thought I'd be in Crete so many times. I bet I'm in Crete more often than Crete Carrier drivers.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this. -

The Walmart DC in Paul's valley actually has a dam sign on the wall. Telling you to point to your language and someone will translate for you.... So how the hell are they supposed to read roadsigns?Speedy356, runningman0661, MidWest_MacDaddy and 2 others Thank this.
