Trucking company "Knight" eyes major acquisition

All I can say I was stupid and desperate and I was misled to believe they were better than Barr Nunn who I was working for at the time. Turns out they suck equally!

I was told that Knight loaned a lot of money Western Express to. Thats how they were able to buy SMX. Wow that would be crazy if Knight buys them.

 

A former Knight Exec is now running Marten Transportation of Mondovi WS. You never saw a bad word said about Marten when Randy Marten ran the company and it's turnover rate was the best in the industry. Randy is CEO in name only and now that his company has been "Knighted up" you see the complaints all over the rip off report and on this site for the report a bad company here threads, Marten never had any before. Knight is the New Swift in my opinion. I talked to a Blue Bird driver just in the past week and he said told me what was going on there. He has been there 8 years and is leaving. The company is even moving towards a paperless log system. He is walking away from a 43 CPM job to work for a smaller company for 35 CPM. Says he just can't stand the new BS that came over from Knight and the new Fair Pay policies. We need less Knights in this Industry and more Randy Martens'.

I'm here to tell you and I'm never going to stop telling you, DO NOT waste your time with Knight. Dishonesty runs rampant through the halls of that place. Knight, although a trucking company, is not a driver oriented company.

Don't know how else to say it but simply put if I cannot earn a measly 50 grand there NO ONE can. Not just me but I am from a class of drivers who know this job inside/out upside/down and behind the back with our eyes closed.

Anyone that says they maintain 2500 miles per week every week in a clapped out POS non-idleing ridin on recaps crap Knight truck is a lier. By driving for Knight you are denying your self and your family things that do not need to be sacrificed.

I drive for a company with 60 trucks. I am perfectly happy and there are no stupid compromises, games, lies, and all the other BS Knight makes a driver go through just to drive for them. It's a no name company owned by a businessman and run by people who have "been there and done that" We don't sit around waiting for nothing we haul freight, lots of it and are welcoming CVSA 2010 with open arms. The name ? It's not important, I put on a clean shirt and sold my services to them. There's nothing speacial about them. It's the way trucking should be and there are many small companies out here that after working for them will have you shacking your head at the atrocities that Knight Transportation and the likes inflict on human beings.

 

A small (15 drivers) outfit in Warren, Ohio. We haul our own product, same route everyday, no backhauls, 3 days 1 week,4 days the 2nd week, and home EVERY NITE!
I'm the rookie at this place so right now, I get all days and routes ni one else wants, but it's still THE BEST DRIVING JOB I EVER HAD.
