No not yet. Just turned 60 today. Been doing hourly local work since October. I’ve been towed twice in 20 years. Both times within 7 months. I had towing at the time. Sure was a help. Considering the inconsistency of towing charges, along with crooked towing companies. The risk of being towed by police order and overcharged is a real risk. I think I’d be happy paying $700 a year for towing. Even with a $500 deductible. Let the insurance company argue over the tow bill. Just too many stories out there about being charged outrageous tow bills.gekko1323 Thanks this.

Well, I got the latest quote from Great West and it came in at $16,551 for the year. I WAS pretty happy with that. HOWEVER, today I went on Progressive.com and I was quoted $12,019 for the exact same coverages. Including the towing. And if I pay it all at once, it goes down to $10,214. WTF? I know Progressive has a bad rep with the brokers, but why the hell WOULDN'T I go with them? I save 38% from the Great West quote by paying Progressive all at once. I ran about 31,000 miles last year. To pay $16,551 for such a low amount of travel is just abusive in my opinion.
What do you guys think?Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
So I found out why my quote with Progressive is so low. IT WAS FOR 6 MONTHS! LOL. That'll teach me to read the fine print.
