That certainly won’t help! I think the two lights in the apu case is normal, I think the top few lights should be on. If you take a picture of the white box with the lights it will help ring a bell for me.

The top lights are normal. The bottom group light up with a corresponding engine shutdown fault.

Found a way to get out of tarping for a little while. I was rolling near Oak Grove, MO and dispatch calls. I was thinking that he already had my next load, but no...turns out there was an OD driver at the T/A just east of there that needed tarps. He was hauling an OD CNC machine that was enclosed in one of those enclousures with angle iron skeleton frame and sheet metal spot welded on the inside. Some of the spot welds failed and the tin started coming loose and damaging the tarp which made more spot welds fail, which tore more of his tarp. Dispatch asked if I had a set of tarps. I told him I have some big pieces of vinyl that somewhat resembled tarps at one time. He directed me to the driver and asked me to donate my tarps to a worthy cause. I get there and rattle the driver's cage(he was chilling in his bunk)...then proceed to help him retarp his OD load...and he was super happy to have the help...plus, he needed some 40' straps...he was surprised to hear me say "how many do you need?"...- just 2 - so I swapped him 2 40's for 2 30's. And he only needed my end tarps, so I only have my center tarp left...so no tarping for at least 1 load

Plus, while we were taking a breather, this flew by a couple times

    PXL_20240604_184153565~2.jpg

It flew a lot lower the 1st time, but before I could snap a pic, it turned on it's stealth mode and disappeared (actually, it flew into a bunch of clouds, but I can tell people it just suddenly disappeared :D)

    You lucky dog.

Well I have my marching orders. Once I get to Wichita with my empty wing trailer I’m getting skid steers. But first I have to do a local run with a quickdraw. (We should really get some sort of extra pay for local runs. It will take 3-4 hours and I’ll make $30?)

I’m taking my skid steers to Omaha “on my way home”, I tried to explain that Omaha is not on my way home to Kansas City. My travel agent assured me he was trained by the best, and that I’m on mileage pay so it IS on the way home, at least this week. All in good fun. I haven’t touched a chain or binder in months, this is going to be a lot like work.

Oh no... they're making you sweat? Oh the humanity :biggrin_25526:.

I said the same thing about it feeling like work to the other driver. He did most of the work on top of what was left of the enclosure, I just climbed the ladder and helped flip the tarp off the sides and hang some bungies to keep it from blowing away, then helped him stretch double bungies across the ends. I was almost as dirty as he was.

No matter how irritable I am about the way things go here sometimes, I still do the right thing when asked...mostly because stuff like today is between drivers.
