Will have all the fathers home before noon today to celebrate their day tomorrow. Early AM leave on Monday for another round then back to the part time work for two weeks.

Happy Father's day to all who have helped raise the next generation.

No gators in my neck of the woods, but we do have a lot of deep hollers, rock cliffs, and abandoned coal mines. Subsidence cracks are common, many hearts have quit beating at the bottom of them….

Stepmother sent this pic few minutes ago. Dad on the new porch. Dad will be 81 this year. A retired mechanic. U.S Army 1965-68 where he was a Track & Wheel specialist during his time in Germany. His mechanical score was so high they rerouted him the day he was being shipped out to Vietnam. 1981 he scored in the top 10 out of 16,000 participants of a test given by GM covering diesel engines, gasoline engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, hydraulic brakes, air brakes, air conditioning. Pretty proud of him….

He still has the mechanics hands.

Used to have a brother in law who couldn’t sweep the kitchen floor without getting blisters.

I let a friend bale ours - last year he got 15 bales in a cut - 2 cuts in the year.

Spread lime last year and $1500 of fertilizer this year and just got 32 bales on the first cut.

I don't charge him anything. It looks like a golf course after he's done, and he's knocked out all the weed and blackberry that was in it.

There's something relaxing about looking over a field with bales scattered around.

I picked up a set of 'Four Roses' bourbon with those huge ice moulds in the shape of a rose. Pretty, but used them about 2 or 3 times.

Feedman, sawmill, cke and 7 others Thank this.
